Summary:

The AR Credit & Collections Specialist, with direction from the Accounting Manager, will manage and maintain all credit and collections, including mechanics liens and legal matters.

Essential Job Functions:

• Direct credit & collections work in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Accounting Manager.
• Assist the Accounting Manager with special projects and assignments.
• Responsible for collection activities such as sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts and maintaining cash receipts
• Handle and resolve escalated issues in the A/R and Billing department as needed
• Establish relationships and maintain positive and productive communications with internal and external customers
• Perform other duties assigned
• Work mandatory overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Credit and Collections
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound decision making and problem solving ability
• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
• Ability to meet critical deadlines

• Works effectively and collaboratively with others

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to lift or pull up to 20 pounds, sit, communicate, reach, manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility, manual dexterity and coordination over 80% of the time while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.

Working Conditions:

Office or warehouse environment. May be exposed to dust, heat or cold, and other environment seasonal changes. Minimum physical exertion.
